I met Coach Baublitz's my freshman year and at first, thought he was just some crazy man conditioning us during the playoffs like it was training camp. Years later I've realized he was just building mental toughness for not only a football game, but life in general. One moment that stuck with me was my sophomore year I got called up for the playoffs, we were playing a team and the first half was rough. I'll always remember everyone was shocked and did not know what to do, that's when Coach Baublitz came into the huddle like a mad man who had 0 concern at all. He told the whole team that "Someone on this defense is going to go make a play and change this game" the 3rd quarter comes along and next thing you know our best player gets a pick and takes it to the house. That there just describes Coach Baublitz as not only a coach, but a man. He has inspired me in so many ways through my 5 years of knowing him and I know he will continue to change lives in this new chapter he is stepping into.
